Stevedoring

Exclusively operated terminals

  • Incheon     With the capacity of berthing three 65,000-ton class vessels simultaneously, Sunkwang's dedicated pier #5 Incheon inner Port boasts of safe stevedoring, clean storage, correct transportation and is at customer's service 24 hours a day.
  • North Port     Located at outside Incheon inner Port, Incheon North Port possesses a 20,000-ton class multi-purpose berth and privides best service, charging a reasonable port fee, including pilotage.
  • Gunsan     Selected as an operating company of pier #6(two 50,000-ton class berths #61,62) at Gunsan Port in 2001, Sunkwang operates both grain pier and multipurpose pier, providing best customer service.
  • Pyeongtaek&Dangjin port     Sunkwang provides Hyundai Glovis with cars loading and unloading service at East pier(berth 1) of Pyeongtaek port and Hanil Cement with slag stevedoring service at West pier(berth 7) of Pyeongtaek port. Sunkwang is always doing its best to reduce logistics cost and satisfy customers with the best logistics service.

Automobile

Incheon Inner Port pier 5-2, operated by Sunkwang, is large enough to berth three 65,000-ton class vessels simultaneously, and has an optimal location as the Incheon's cleanest port dedicated to automobile.
With regard to the automobiles about 76% of the total cargo volume is handles on 137,000§© of the hinerland. In addition , Sunkwang is operating automobile dedicated berth of Pyeongtaek East pier with th capacity of 8,000CEU based on 151,873§©, that is, annually 400,000 units.
Sunkwang is contributing to both shippers' convenience and the reduction of logistics costs and trying to secure a skilled workforce to carry out safe and prompt stevedoring at the work place.

Bulk Cargo

Sunkwang has grown up based on bulk cargo stevedoring for over 70 years since its foundation in 1948. With its accumulated know-hows, Sunkwang has secured specialized manpower and dedicated handling equipment for all kinds of bulk cargo.
In addition, introducing the electronic grabber for stevedoring for the first time in Incheon Port, Sunkwang is endeavoring to increase productivity through improving the way of working.

Timber

AS the first to introduce the engine grabber and lumber loader, which are dedicated to the unloading of lumber, Sunkwang has created comfortable work environment and achieved cost-saving performance, improving the work methods that used to rely on labor force into mechanization and automation to prevent safety accidents and increase productivity. In addition, we are trying to live up to customers' needs by securing a wide variety of know-how of the unloading of logs and sufficient area.

General Goods

Based on our long experience in handling general goods of ferry, we utilize the equipment and staffs appropriate for each cargo, which accelerates the work in a very safe and reliable manner. The apron is also expanded to 50M to provide better and safe working environment where the cargo can be stacked or loaded directly for greater productivity. The outdated equipment is replaced with the new ones to meet the varying demands and changes in accordance with the nature of the cargo.

Car Ferry CY/CFS

Since it was selected as a stevedoring company of the car ferry navigating between Incheon-Yantai China in 2000, Sunkwang has been operating a container terminal at the Intenational Passenger Terminal. Sunkwang CY/CFS has an ideal location close to the 1st and 2nd Gyeongin Expressway to provide a rapid service to the shippers.
